Asana Raises $50M In Series E Funding

Asana, a work management software, has secured $50 million in a Series E equity round, bringing the company’s total funding amount from 2018 to $125 million.

The round was led by Generation Investment Management, with additional funding from 8VC, Benchmark Capital, Founders FundLead Edge Capital and World Innovation Lab.

Asana said it plans to use the funding to further company growth, including:

  • Accelerating product innovation;
  • Opening an EU data center; and
  • Expanding its presence in the Asia Pacific region.

“As the work management imperative becomes increasingly global, we’re focused on supporting our expanding international team and customer base to meet the growing demand to democratize project management and improve team coordination,” said Dustin Moskovitz, Co-Founder and CEO of Asana, in a statement. “We’re more focused than ever on our vision to enable organizations to align their missions with clarity of plan, purpose and responsibility so they can focus on the work that matters most.”
