ZoomInfo Acquires Tech Startup Komiko, Launches InboxAI Tool

Published: November 12, 2019

ZoomInfo, a provider of go-to-market (GTM) intelligence solutions, has acquired the Seattle-based tech startup Komiko. The company stated that it will integrate the technology into the ZoomInfo platform, powered by DiscoverOrg. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Komiko’s AI-powered CRM automation, playbooks and predictive analytics offerings are designed to help accelerate the sales pipeline with analytics. These will now be available as ZoomInfo InboxAI and position users to capture contact and activity data that is buried in sales reps’ email inboxes and calendars. The data is then populated within the CRM system of record to:

  • Trigger alerts and generate analytics to support renewals;
  • Manage new business pipelines; and
  • Provide a 360-degree view of customers, prospects and partners.

“Organizations are realizing that how they manage and leverage data is a strategic function that can accelerate or inhibit lead, pipeline and revenue generation,” said Henry Schuck, Founder and CEO of ZoomInfo, in a statement. “While our offering is a SaaS platform for GTM, we feel ZoomInfo is in the business of helping marketing and salespeople hit their numbers. So, when we see an opportunity to build or buy additional capabilities essential to strengthen that edge — as we did with Komiko — it’s an easy decision.”
